Create List Page (go there)
Anyone that has an idea for a sports list can create one. Start by clicking the CREATE A LIST button in the sidebar. Say you type Greatest Player of All-Time and click the create button. Wham. A list called Greatest Player of All-Time is created...
List Edit Page (go there)
Every list has three pages, and the list edit page is one of them. You wind up here immediately upon creating a new list. From here, you can type a description for the list. Something like, These guys are arguably the greatest to ever lace 'em up. We need some names, so in the add item box, go with Willie Mays. Willie's name appears. Click it and you'll see a bunch of tabs. You can give some facts as to why he belongs on the list, upload photos and add YouTube videos, among other things. Suppose we had a few more names. Enough editing. Let's see the list by clicking the LIST tab up top...
List Page (go there)
We're now looking at the Greatest Player of All-Time list. All the content we added from the edit page is there is a nicely packaged list with text, pictures, and videos. Here's the cool part. The list is rankable. Every item is numbered. Say Willie is currently #1 and you don't agree with that. Just click and drag on the #1 and relocate him to position #4. Shuffle things around as much as you like. The system takes the rankings of everyone who visits the list and calculates a consensus. Just above the first item on the list, there are links that let you toggle back and forth between consensus and my ranking.
In this example, we created the Greatest Player of All-Time list and made our edits immediately. But in most cases, you'll be on a list someone else started. If you think it's missing items, or the ones already there could use descriptions, pictures, or videos, just click the EDIT tab at the top of the page and go to work. Anyone can edit any list. Nobody is the owner. It's a collective effort.
List Discuss Page (go there)
You may have noticed the DISCUSS tab up top. Click for a forum to interact with other users and comment on the list. Hover the rankings link in anyone's comment to see how they ranked the list.
Item Page (go there)
On the list or list discuss page, the names of the items in the list are always big red links. Click to view the item page. From the item page for say, Willie Mays, you can see every list he's been added to, and all the pictures and videos of him.
Profile Page (go there)
Last up in this brief overview is the profile page. You can see the lists, items, and discussions you've had a role in. There's also easy access to your favorite items. And the all important watch list, which allows you easily follow significant updates and discussions for the lists and items you want to keep up with.
That covers the basics. Have fun!
