Fan Bash the rapidly growing site that allows fans to build sports lists that anyone can rank and edit. Any user can create a list, then the rest of the community piles on to add items and enhance with descriptions, photos, videos and discussion. Users have been incited by a ranking tool that breeds controversy and comprehensive lists filled with information and media. It's the first in a series of list building social media sites in the portfolio of Balistik, LLC, a Cincinnati based internet and technology startup.

Fan Bash indulges the insatiable addiction to listing and ranking that dominates sports discussion and media. No longer are fans left on the sidelines while the experts create lists full of holes and botched rankings. Bashers have a voice in the media when it comes to sports lists because any list can be edited and ranked. Fan rankings are used to calculate consensus and present the most comprehensive sports lists ever argued up.

Fan Bash is powered by Wikilists™, a proprietary platform for list building collaboration that incorporates unique click and drag tools to calculate consensus and take the fan pulse in real time. Fan Bash was launched in March of 2008.

Balistik is preparing to launch several new sites in the coming months to focused on TV, film and other pop culture facets, as well as technology and other interest areas. The team behind the sites is an experienced one: A CPA, a lawyer, and an ex-adman entrepreneur led Balistik's Fan Bash to a successful launch. Capitalizing on their love for sports, diverse professional aptitudes and ambition, they're having fun bringing endless offering the online community a voice in the media and endless list building amusement.

The Players

Ryan McKillen, CPA is Balistik's founding partner. An online entrepreneur since he was 14, McKillen has operated numerous websites. Prior to Fan Bash, his focus was on a casual games website catering to advertisers in the entertainment space and serving monthly advertising impressions in the millions. The site was recently sold for an undisclosed sum. As a self-taught web developer, McKillen is well suited to manage the development and operations of Fan Bash. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and alumnus of Big Four public account firm, Ernst & Young. Those credentials being earned at a much more boring time in his life, but the finance and accounting know-how has left him well equipped to run a company. He graduated from Miami University with a degree in accountancy, and earned a minor in international business while spending a year of his Miami tenure at the university’s campus in Luxembourg. McKillen once reversed dunked a mini-basketball on an eight foot hoop with his eyes closed, but he regards running the Chicago Marathon and his status as a Bengals season ticket holder in the nose bleeds among his most prominent athletic achievements.

Jennifer Wolfe, Esq., APR is a partner in Balistik and founder of The Wolfe Practice law firm. The boutique firm specializes in media, entertainment, emerging company and real estate law, representing publishing, media, production companies, independent film producers and film distribution companies. Wolfe has been trained in negotiation at Harvard Law School and is nationally accredited in public relations. She has served as two-time President of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Capital Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross Cincinnati Chapter, Greater Cincinnati Film Commission, and Athena Power Link Program. Her firm has been featured on the cover of the Money Section of USA Today and Wolfe has been featured on the cover of Inspire Magazine and Cincinnati Woman Magazine. Wolfe is a regular contributor to Pink Magazine and to the Cincinnati Business Courier. She has been named a leading lawyer in emerging company law by Cincy Business Magazine and one of the top 10 women attorneys in Cincinnati, a YWCA Rising Star, as well as a top 40 under 40 professional by the Cincinnati Business Courier. Prior to becoming an attorney, Wolfe served as the Director of Marketing & Communication for Reach Magazine. She holds a Juris Doctor and Masters Degree in Management Communication from the University of Cincinnati. Wolfe serves as General Counsel and Director of Public Relations for Balistik. Jennifer is a swimmer and considers being sister to a former University of Tennessee basketball player among her more noteable athletic achievements.

Robert Wolfe is a partner in Balstik. A veteran entrepreneur, Wolfe has built and sold a number of businesses. Beginning his career with NCR after earning an MBA from Miami University, Wolfe purchased a Val Pak franchise in the late 1970s. Quickly adapting an entrepreneurial spirit, Wolfe grew the company by acquiring markets throughout the Midwest, becoming the largest national franchisee of the company. Recognizing changing technologies, Wolfe was an early adapter of desktop publishing, evolving his Val Pak franchise into a magazine publication under the new brand coined by Wolfe, Reach Magazine. Wolfe rapidly deployed Macintosh technology of the early 1980s and expanded Reach Magazine nationally through a franchising strategy. Recognizing the acquisition opportunities ever present in the early 1990s, Wolfe was instrumental in assisting Cox Communications in a strategic acquisition of Val Pak. Upon closing that acquisition, Wolfe consulted with Cox Communications for a number of years in navigating the changing advertising industry. After his tenure with Cox and further deployment of Reach Magazine nationally, Wolfe sold Reach Magazine to a long-time friend and partner. Wolfe was also a partner in a business newspaper which was later sold to American City Business Journals. Wolfe has continued to utilize emerging technologies in developing an enterprise system for The Wolfe Practice law firm to poise the boutique law firm for rapid national expansion. During the initial Fan Bash development cycle, Wolfie proved his athletic prowess by hitting the gym and dropping 10 pounds in a week on a lemonade-only diet.

Corey Hamilton, Esq. works with the leadership team to support legal and public relations strategies of the company. Hamilton is a transaction attorney with The Wolfe Practice law firm where he manages real estate and commercial transactions in deals ranging from start ups to $15 million+. Hamilton previously worked in public relations for the Cincinnati Bengals and is an avid sports fan. Hamilton earned his Juris Doctor degree form the University of Cincinnati and undergraduate degree in Journalism from Indiana University. At the age of 10, and pre-dating the reign of Kobeyashi, Hamilton had victory snatched from his jaws in a pie eating contest by a nun with tremendous closing ability.

Emily Hamilton works with the leadership team to support public relations strategies of the company. Hamilton also serves as Marketing Director of The Wolfe Practice law firm. Hamilton earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University. Faced with the threat of violence from her older brothers while growing up in Cincinnati, Hamilton was forced to make hundreds of prank phone calls pretending to be Pete Rose.
